DreamyBot is an interactive installation set in the year 2080, constructing a future scenario where an artificial intelligence company offers a customization service for "perfect child robots." The audience can customize a DreamyBot that completely aligns with their personal preferences by simulating the official website.
The work responds to the contemporary society's escalating parental anxiety and people's fantasies of ideal intimate relationships, depicting a future where even children can be designed and purchased like products. It also provokes reflection on the role of artificial intelligence in emotional companionship-when technologically created intimacy is realistic enough to be indistinguishable from the real thing, have we truly achieved fulfillment, or are we heading toward a dependence on algorithmic intimacy?
