Ruiqi Liu is an interdisciplinary artist working with sound, physical installations, and audiovisual performance. Her practice explores how life-like behaviors can emerge from non-biological systems, often drawing from autonomous machines, system art, and speculative narratives.
Alongside installation-based work, Ruiqi develops experimental vocal and live audiovisual performances. She sees herself as a sound machine, approaching the voice as a mutable material shaped through interaction with computers, digital media, and technical processes.
Ruiqi is currently studying Interactive Media Arts (IMA) at New York University Shanghai.
